Inspiration comes from many sources and our job is to pay attention and allow ourselves to carry and give birth to what has been inspired. The poem I'd like to share today is a
blessing, written by Anne Whitehouse and included in her book of poems entitled "Blessings and Curses."
It also seems to me that the warmth of summer, generally a blessing, can become a curse in extreme. I'm praying for those who are impacted by the extreme heat in the Pacific Northwest.
Blessing XIII
When inspiration comes, attend to it.
Drop everything else. Listen carefully.
You get one chance and one chance only.
To receive the blessing,
you must be prepared to receive it.
Let yourself be its instrument.
The intention and expression are up to you.
