Fifty Days of Gratitude: Day Four

One of the positive things about Social Media is that it’s possible to go back and see what we’ve posted on this date in years past.  For instance, I noted today that nine years ago, on this date, Bruce and I toured the Vatican.  Wow.  That seems timely as I watch images of Pope Francis in his casket, being returned to the seat of power for the papacy. 

Today, then, I am grateful for reminders of past travel and for hopes for future travel.  We haven’t traveled much since I took this call.  The pace of the work has simply not allowed it.  I have hopes that this will change when we welcome an Associate Pastor.  This will also give Bruce some time for his new knee to heal and become more a part of him.  We’ll call him Bionic Bruce or some such. 

For now, we dream about where we might go.  And we give thanks for memories of the places we’ve been.
