Fifty Days of Gratitude: Day 50

Technically, it's still Day 50. What a marvelous Pentecost celebration we enjoyed at Gloria Dei this morning! I hope that if this is a day you celebrate, that it was filled with joy and Spirit.
Bruce and I enjoyed a late lunch at BIT, which is quite near the church. We had a delicious meal and I had the spiffy Pentecost looking drink you see below. It's an Arnold Palmer with hibiscus tea and lemonade. It was delicious.
For this day, I raise my glass to us - for the journey that this fifty days has offered us together. I've been so grateful for your comments, both online and in person. Life doesn't offer us enough chances to really know one another and if this series of posts moved us in that direction, I'm glad.
Some of you have asked me to continue these reflections. My usual practice, outside of Eastertide, is to post on Mondays. I started writing/posting Monday Morning Musings during the pandemic lockdown for the congregation at Luther Memorial and then migrated it to my personal blog when I left there. I'll probably take tomorrow off and resume posting the following Monday.
As I write this I'm listening to the Saint Mark's Cathedral Compline choir sing the office of Compline. It is my favorite of the hours of prayer. These words soothe my spirit and prepare me for rest at night. Even as I write and listen and turn toward sleep, dear ones, I am deeply grateful for you. Thank you for making the world better by the grace and joy you offer us all.
With love and until next Eastertide, I am gratefully,
Julie
