Fifty Days of Gratitude: Day 32

Since my gratitude yesterday was for my own denomination, my gratitude today is for the United Methodist Church. Today, at their Annual Conference, they repealed the bans on gay clergy and same sex weddings as they more fully live into the wide love of God for all. A bit of my faith formation is owed to the Methodists as we were a part of Sulligent UMC for six years. My lone church camp experience was at the beautiful Camp Sumatanga in Alabama.
I rejoice with all who rejoice this day. Weeping lasted for a long night, but joy does indeed come in the morning.
